Shaq and Wife Reach Divorce Settlement

Shaq and Wife Reach Divorce SettlementShaquille O'Neal and his estranged wife, Shaunie have reached a settlement in their divorce ... TMZ has learned.

Shaunie's mega-lawyer, Sorrell Trope, tells TMZ Shaq and Shaunie have reached agreement on all terms of the divorce, including property, custody and support.

Under the agreement, the Florida courts will have jurisdiction to officially divorce the couple. In addition, a Florida judge will handle any issues that may arise involving property division and spousal support.

Trope tells TMZ the California courts will have jurisdiction over any issues related to child custody.

As we first reported, Shaunie filed for legal separation in California back in November, just days after moving to L.A. with their kids. We've learned Shaunie just filed a petition to dismiss the separation action.

Move from top spot to assistant suits Cheeks fine

Theirs was never a typical relationship, Maurice Cheeks the accomplished starting point guard and Scott Brooks the scrapy rookie backup with no chance to make it in the NBA but did anyway. That was 1988 in Philadelphia.

This is 2010 in Oklahoma City. Brooks is the frontrunner for Coach of the Year in his first full season as a coach while guiding the Thunder to a 38-24 record -- with Cheeks as his unlikely assistant.

The names, strung together, read like a list for a reunion, lacking only the big cheerful sign on a ballroom wall: "Welcome back, Class of 1994!"

In this case, we're talking about the NBA Draft class that graduated into the basketball job market that June. Some of the big men (and little men, too) who left campus that year: Glenn Robinson, Donyell Marshall, Lamond Murray, Eddie Jones, Jalen Rose, Aaron McKie, Wesley Person, Howard Eisley and a bunch of other guys who have slipped nicely into those "Whatever happened to...?" questions.
